(TW: Slurs) Gosh guys, how fucking stupid of me to get offended by the word “faggot”
Why would that word bother me at all? I mean, it’s not like it’s a slur. My goodness no! People don’t use it to hurt other people, it’s empowering!
I remember how empowering it was when my uncle disowned me for being a “faggot.”
I remember all of the times my classmates beat me up and told me to “just die, faggot.” I remember thinking, “Gee, it’s so swell that these people are embracing me for who I am. Such great advice, thanks everyone!”
I’m so glad I’m so fucking empowered and have reclaimed the word.
Now, since I have reclaimed the word it doesn’t hold any of the power it once did! You are all free to use it at your leisure! Especially if you’re straight! Because of course straight people have queer friends and since their friends use the word, why shouldn’t they?
Why should you be offended when I’m not offended? It’s fucking logic.
